Will my school accept this?+
That is your district's call, and every district sets its own rules. We generate the log format counselors expect, collect the signatures, and organize your submission files to your district's requirements. You still submit the final signed form to your school guidance counselor, so check with your counselor about anything specific to your school.
Do you support my district?+
We currently cover 61 Florida districts (with 6 more coming soon). Some counties like St. Johns and Duval require letterhead uploads, which we handle. Others accept digital signatures. Your district's requirements are built in.
Can I use paid work hours?+
Yes! Florida now accepts paid work hours toward Bright Futures.
Do you save my paystub photos?+
No. We extract the hours instantly using AI OCR and then discard the image. We never store photos of your sensitive financial documents.
Do I need to get approved before I start?+
Yes! Most districts require you to submit a Service Plan to your counselor before starting your hours. Check with your guidance office first. BrightLog helps you document and verify everything after approval, so you're ready when it's time to submit.
What documentation do I need?+
It will depend on your district and they type of hours you are logging. Paid work often requires paystubs and a signature. Volunteer hours often require a signature and/or a letterhead upload. If letterhead is required, we even generate a pre-written draft for your supervisor to sign and submit. We make it as fast and easy as possible.
Which scholarships do you support?+
We support tracking hours for all 4 major Florida Bright Futures awards: Florida Academic Scholars (FAS), Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS), Gold Seal CAP Scholars (GSC), and Gold Seal Vocational Scholars (GSV).
I'm a parent. Can I buy this for my student?+
Yes. Buy The College Bound, and after checkout choose "I'm a parent setting this up for my student." You get an invite code, your student creates their own free account and enters it, and their hours show up in your parent view. Have multiple kids? The Family Bundle covers up to 3 students.
